Duration: 12 Days

Day 1st-Chennai : For your South India Temple tour, you will arrive at Chennai and then transfer to the hotel. Visit Kala Kshetra, Gandhi Memorial, Mylapore shrine and Marina Beach. Relax at hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2nd- Chennai/ Tirupati

Distance: 154 kms, Time: 3.5hrs
Leave for Tirupati after taking breakfast. Visit the popular Lord Venkateshwara Temple located on the peak of Tirumala hills. This holy place is believed to be the ancient shrine and is also considered the richest temple. Take lunch at local eating place in Tirupati and return to your hotel for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 3rd-Chennai/Kanchipuram/Mamallapooram

Distance: 76 kms, Time: 1.50 hrs

After having breakfast drive to Kanchipuram, which was the earliest center of the Pallavas and was famous for its 1,000 temples. Many of those temples are still exist and used even today. Shri Kamakshi Temple is the most recognized. Take lunch at a nearby restaurant and then carry on driving to Mamallapooram plus sign in at the lodge. Visit Mahabalipuram in the afternoon that was a famous port during the reign of Pallavas. Visit the rock-cut temples and Shore Temple that is distinctive because Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. Get back to the hotel for overnight stay and dinner.

Day 4th-Mamallapooram/Tiruvannamallai/Pondicherry

Distance: 112 kms, Time: 03 hrs

Drive to Tiruvannamallai after breakfast. It is a significant pilgrimage center and features ancient Lord Shiva Temple. Have lunch at a nearby restaurant and drive to Pondicherry which is 131 kms away and takes 3.5 hrs to reach. This town symbolizes its association with French culture as it was at earlier a French colony. For dinner and overnight stay, check in the hotel.

Day 5th-Pondicherry

Visit Aurobindo Ashram, after breakfast. It is 10 kms at north of Pondicherry. After taking lunch at lodge travel around Auroville that is in itself is a pleasing visit as citizens of various origin live here in full harmony. For dinner and overnight stay, return to the hotel.

Day 6th-Pondicherry/Chidabaram/Thanjavur

Chidabaram: 65 kms, Time: 1.5 hrs

Thanjavur: 104 kms, Time: 3 hrs

After morning mealtime, get ready to drive to Chidabaram and visit renowned Nataraja Temple. At this place Lord Shiva has been portrayed as cosmic-dancer. Take lunch at nearby restaurant and drive to Thanjavur. On the way to this place, travel around a Brass factory sited at Kumbakonam. Thanjavur served as the capital City of Chola Empire and boasts famed Brahadeswara Temple. Again check into the inn for night stay and dinner.

Day 7th- Thanjavur/Trichy

Distance: 54 kms, Time: 2 hrs

Leave for Trichy after morning meal. It is sited along the Kaveri River’s banks and is famous for its Ranganath Temple sited at Srirangam. On access, check in the lodge and after taking lunch travel around Srirangam, Rock Fort Temple and Jambukeshwar. Take dinner and wait for overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8th-Trichy/Madurai

Distance: 133 kms, Time: 3.5 hrs

Leave for Madurai after morning meal. Check into the hotel after arrival. After lunch explore the famous Meenakshi Temple, Great Tank, King Tirumala’s Palace and Gandhi Museum. Stay at hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 9th-Madurai/Rameshwaram

Distance: 154 kms, Time: 4 hrs

Leave for Rameshwaram after taking breakfast. This city is known as the holiest temple town and also holds a myth that Lord Rama, after defeating Ravana, prayed over here with his consort Sita. At this place is sited the Ramanatha Swamy Temple. Lunch at local restaurant and get back to Madurai for night stay and dinner.

Day 10th-Madurai/Trivandrum

Distance: 329 kms, Time: 8.5 hrs

Drive to Trivandrum after morning meal and check in at the lodge. Relax in afternoon as its leisure day.

Day 11th-Trivandrum/Kanyakumari

Distance: 87 kms, Time: 2 hrs

Travel to Kanyakumari after taking breakfast. It is India’s land end point and is also a prominent pilgrimage site. Its Amman Temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati also famous over here as the virgin Goddess. Also visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and have lunch at a local eating point. Watch the sun set and return to Trivandrum. Rest and have dinner at hotel.

Day 12th-Departure

After breakfast time drive to the airfield and get on the flights for onward voyage.
